M.L.K

This is the last time M.L.K. gave a speech, before he was assasinated.

Martin Luther King I Have A Dream Speech.

Martin Luther King gave a speech about how he dreamt that segregation would be no more, and white and the black nation could live in peace as one whole. This historic event took place at the Lincoln memorial on August 28, 1963. He wanted people to not judge each other by the color of the skin but by the content of their character. He felt that everyone was equal and thought that segregation was the result of fear in a change of white communities. He wanted it so that blacks and whites could have an equal opprotunity at the American Dream.

Martin Luther King; gave his "I Have A Dream'' speech on August, 28 1963

His speech affected the lives of African-Americans because at first it was a segregated nation but he made change come. He gave all African-Americans hope and freedom for the future. Martin made it as to where whites and blacks could share the same restrooms and go to the same schools together. Blacks and whites were meant to be equal and he made that happen, by sharing his belief on what was right for the nation. And soon blacks were free to have the freedom they deserved.

This book relates to .M.L.K speech because it talks about a black family living in Chicago in 1958. During this time the nation was going through segregation.. The book relates to the article becuase blacks and whites were not a equal nation yet. back in the times when the book was wriiten blacks could not go to the same school with whites. The book is based on a black family during segregated times. Walter and M.L.K. had a dream for the better of living conditions for black people. M.L.K. dreams for a better black nation, and Walter dreams of better living conditions for his family.
